Nexus IT Acquires Imagis to Expand Regulated‑Industry Footprint

Nexus IT acquires Imagis to enhance compliance and security capabilities.

Nexus IT has acquired Imagis, expanding its managed services footprint in regulated industries including healthcare, financial services and government.

The company said the deal adds clients with strict compliance requirements and broadens its capabilities in cloud, cybersecurity and digital transformation. The combined company will operate under the Nexus IT brand. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Imagis brings a client base shaped by regulatory mandates such as HIPAA and FINRA, giving Nexus IT a larger presence in segments where security controls, documentation and audit readiness are central to IT buying decisions. That matters as regulated organizations face rising cyber risk, tighter oversight and more pressure to prove they can manage both resilience and compliance.

The acquisition also fits a broader trend in the MSP market. Providers are looking to build more specialized practices in verticals where customers are willing to pay for industry knowledge, security depth and help navigating complex regulatory demands.

Nexus IT said it plans additional expansion as demand grows for compliance-focused managed services.
