Palo Alto Repackages Biz Browser Tech for Small Business

Palo Alto Networks introduced Prisma Browser for Business, a browser-based secure workspace aimed at small businesses. The secure business browser extends its existing secure browser technology it has been selling upmarket. The new Prisma Browser touts a simpler package with a 30-day free trial and what the company says is four-click onboarding.

Small businesses now run an average of 36 applications in the browser, and Palo Alto says 95% of companies have experienced a security incident originating in the browser. Prisma Browser for Business is designed to give smaller firms centralized control over apps and AI tools while adding protections against phishing, ransomware, fraud and data leakage.

Palo Alto is pushing its’ enterprise-grade browser security down market at a time when the browser niche has become the default workspace for smaller companies. Palo Alto says the move creates a cleaner SMB security upsell around browser-based work, AI governance and light-touch deployment.
