Auvik has brought its SaaS Management platform to the Pax8 Marketplace, giving managed service providers (MSPs) new visibility into cloud and shadow IT sprawl as software subscriptions multiply across client environments.
The move integrates Auvik’s SaaS Management suite—best known for tracking application usage, access, and licensing—into the Pax8 distribution ecosystem, where more than 30,000 MSPs source and manage vendor services. The platform helps partners monitor all SaaS applications in use across their customers, detect unauthorized tools, and consolidate billing and access management.
The expansion reflects a wider software visibility trend in the MSP sector. As businesses rely on hundreds of cloud apps, providers are struggling with “shadow IT,” where employees adopt unapproved tools that create compliance and security risks. Auvik’s integration gives MSPs a single pane of glass to identify those risks in real time. Pax8 said demand for SaaS oversight has surged as clients balance cost control with growing vendor portfolios.
Competitors such as Zylo, Torii, and BetterCloud also offer SaaS discovery and governance features, but Auvik’s positioning inside the Pax8 Marketplace gives it unique reach. For many MSPs, marketplace access simplifies procurement, licensing, and billing—critical friction points in scaling managed services.
Auvik’s move aligns with a larger industry shift toward unified SaaS governance, combining cost optimization, identity management, and security compliance into a single managed offering. For Pax8, it strengthens its role as the central hub of the modern MSP supply chain.
