Welcome to an exciting extension of my journalism journey — SecurityPointBreak.com.

Over the past several months, conversations with peers and people I deeply respect in cybersecurity have been both grounding and motivating — especially around what professionals actually need, day to day and week to week, versus what the news cycle keeps shoving into their feeds.
My ambitious goal: build something genuinely useful, novel, and human — something that cuts through the tickertape flood of cybersecurity headlines with smarter context, better storytelling, and more intention.
Yes, AI will play a role. It already does in modern journalism. But I’m equally interested in the quieter, less-hyped tools that good reporters have always relied on: intelligent filters, data-sifting, computer-assisted reporting, and the discipline of reason, judgment, and shoe-leather reporting. As AI sucks much of the oxygen out of the room, I want to double down on the human skills that surface the story behind the story—making it more accurate, more contextual, and more worth a reader’s time.
One non-negotiable promise is transparency. AI has made us all jaded consumers of, well, everything. There are seldom – if ever – disclaimers informing readers how AI played a role in creating content. Trust doesn’t come from pretending AI isn’t involved—it comes from being honest about when it is, how it’s used, and where human judgment begins and ends. Readers deserve that clarity.
My aim is to combine my extensive editorial experience and technology background to build a nimble news storytelling playground — one that elevates trusted voices, practitioners, and experts, and delivers coverage that helps cybersecurity professionals make better decisions in a noisier, more confusing world.
